So when we were invited to be part of the sports-themed week at Little Squirrels Preschool in Bovey Tracey, we jumped at the chance – and what an incredible day it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing. The children greeted us with boundless energy and the kind of enthusiasm that makes everything we do worthwhile. It didn’t take long before boots were on, smiles were wide, and the pitch (well, the play area!) was full of little footballers ready for action. 🧒 What We Did: Learning Through Play Our sessions are always designed to be inclusive, age-appropriate, and most importantly – fun! For preschoolers, the goal isn’t to teach complex tactics or perfect technique. It’s about developing key movement skills, nurturing social interaction, and encouraging children to give things a go in a positive and pressure-free environment. I’m currently completing my Level 2 Scouting and Analysis course with IPSO, and it’s been a fantastic learning experience so far. The knowledge and insight I’ve gained are already making a positive impact on how I observe and evaluate the game. Next, I’ll be progressing onto the Level 3 Youth Scouting course, which will deepen my understanding of match reporting and help me analyse young players more effectively—an essential step in shaping the future of football talent.
